If your home stands on the magenta x500 or canary yellow x zone your home does not fall under FEMA guidelines.
All other zones must follow FEMA guidelines. Effective as of March 30, 2012 for permitting process we must have either an Elevation Certificate or required FEMA paperwork filled out in order to proceed with any re-roofs.
